1. Baby Ju is 2 months already!

He weighs 6.2kgs, and is at the 90th percentile for height and weight. A fast growing baby!

Because of his strong appetite, he has earned the reputation of “Boy S”

Boy Sipsip.
Boy Spit up.
Boy Sinok.
Pati narin Boy Suka.

2. Mae and I started to wonder what other “S” words he would be, growing up. Sexy? Sugapa? Sugarol? Sutil? Salesman? Sundalo?

We were really trying to think of more positive S words but nothing was coming up…

3. So on a call with Mom and Pop we asked for S words that were more positive. Mom being a catechist, immediately said “Santo”.

Santo/Saint was a comforting word. Until we realized yung mga buhay ng mga Santo ay kakaiba rin ang pinagdadaanan!

4. On a different call with Mom, she said… “Bakit Baby Ju ang tawag nyo, eh Katoliko yan?”

5. Baby Ju has a weird habit of crying first before latching on to eat. Initially we thought he wasn’t hungry anymore. So we would prepare him for sleep. But then he would cry more and continue trying to suck on anything that comes. Now we have learned that its just his thing when eating. We have learned that he will latch in ‘Ju’ time.

6. Mae’s morning routine so far has been to feed Baby Ju while watching Grey’s Anatomy. She started from season 12 and has now finished to the latest season. So now when Baby Ju is about to about to eat, we remind him: “Baby Ju, latch with Grey’s”

7. With all the attention to Baby Ju, Mae makes sure she still spends quality time just with Mika. One activity she looks forward to going on short errands to the supermarket with Mika.

Since Mae is still recovering from her CS, I worry about her bringing Mika, the stroller and the grocery as it can be heavy especially when riding on and off the bus.

One day as she was preparing to go out with Mika and I knew she was planning to buy flour and other heavy items, I said: “Basta manage your weight ha“.

Ang sama ng tingin sakin ni Mae after.
