Once upon a time, there was a little rice grain, in a little rice sack.

One morning the sack of rice was taken out of a cupboard.

It was opened and the little rice grain got scooped out into a metal pot.

Cold water was poured over it. It was swirled all over and the little rice grain and friends had so much fun.

But after a few swirls, the water was poured out. They were sad that the fun was over.

Then water was poured in again!

But there was no swirling this time.

Instead, they got covered with a glass lid. And they heard a *click*.

The water from cold started to get warm.

Then it became hot.

Then it was boiling!

The little rice grains started to become soft and cozy. They also felt yummier.

After a few minutes, they heard another *click*.

It smelled so good!

Then the lid was opened, and the little rice grain and his friends were scooped into a bowl.

From a bowl they were scooped into a plate.

From the plate they were scooped into a spoon.

And from the spoon they went inside the mouth!

They were munched, and crunched with other food.

Then they were swallowed, and down the esophagus they went!

It was like a slide going so fast and they went ‘Weeee!’

Until they splashed into the pool of stomach acids!

It was like a wave pool where they splished, splashed and sploshed.

Then one of them had a great idea. They said, let’s dive down and find the duodenum.

So on the count of one, two, and three…

They held their breath and swam down looking for the stomach exit.

The little rice grain was now in the small intestine.

It went up and down. Left and right. They went upside down. And down side up.

They went left right side and right side left!

Then at the end they found themselves in a big large cave.

They felt themselves getting drier and drier inside the large intestines.

They moved very slowly, and they became very sticky.

Then they reached a dead end. There was no where to go.

But the food kept on coming. They were just getting drier and drier and more clumped together.

Until a few hours later, they saw a light!

Then they heard a “NGGRHHHH”.

And *plok* down they went into the toilet!

They got flushed down the pipes and it was so fast!

They eventually landed inside the septic tank. Where all the poop and pee in the house goes.

They stayed there for many months.

Until one day, they got sucked out of the septic tank and brought to a waste treatment plant.

They became cleaned and turned into fertilizer.

Then the fertilizer was used in a grain field, where the little rice grain was now helping other little rice grains grow.

The end.
